In the last years Lego shifted to American style in all the sets, houses, cars and such, so when you mention it's an American Semi truck, it again reminds me that there are no European style trucks in their sets anymore. When i was young, Lego was fully European, now the sets which show at least a little European style are probably just 1 % of their product range. This is really sad, seems they only look at the money nowadays and not at customers wishes. I am from Austria (living in Germany) and i miss the times when City was totally European. Will we ever get a truck like this in European style again? Even Lego in Denmark is not using trucks like this one, since long nose trucks are very rare in central Europe nowadays (when i was young, there were much more). Only in Russia you can see a lot of Semi style long nose trucks similar to those in the US. BTW this is not really a Lego-branded truck, since i'll bet there are no bricks or tiles printed with the LEGO-logo, or can anyone spot any on the pictures? The truck itself is built with just plain bricks, in fact *only the sticker sheet is branded.*

Really wish Lego had what would essentially be a fatter indoraptor body for allosaurus and carnotaurus, they look fine on their own but it’s somewhat goofy that they’re the same size as the trex or giganotosaurus

I actually really love this. The colors are fantastic, especially in the background. The left upper arm is a little janky but the forearms and hands look nice. Definitely picking this up.

This feels like an awkward duplication of the T Rex Transporter 75933 and I am not sure why they didn't more significantly jazz it up a little.

i wanted to buy the lego wave painting set, realized there were tiny old man faces on it, and then decided that i can live without that iny my life i know they are on the original aswell but smth about it is kinda creepy to me. its like they stare at me the whole time

A highly detailed oriented landmark set at resonable cost range, WOOHOO!! The exact kind of set that got me interested in this lego theme in the first place. Take my money.

They really needed to add a few really rare extra exclusive minifigures with this one. I’m not feeling the “UCS” with this set. I have the X1 and it’s ok but it’s nothing compared to the Star Destroyer. When I see “UCS” I want “Star Destroyer” quality. Maybe pick it up at the end of the year.

I love lemans cars like the 787B, Nissan RCP92, Mercedes Sauber, etc… I think these are just as nice as Lego, love it!

I have the '14 version. That one would be about $170 today, adjusted for inflation and about 200 less pieces. However, that one is noticeably bigger with the same amount of interior space. I think the bridge looks better in the older one. I really wish they'd update the Darth Vader minifig, once you notice he is looking upwards you really can't unsee it.

I finally decided to pick this one up, largely due to FOMO. I almost let it pass, as it seems kinda basic, without a lot of interesting building techniques, etc. Then it occurred to me how much I enjoy Market Street, which is arguably the most basic of ‘em all. It will probably be a LONG time before I build this, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy it.

God this is the best wave of city we’ve had in so long. 100% also an exo force inspired mech. Reminds me of 2010 city that was top tier Lego

I like thos set for what its trying to do and so much of ot is good. Good yes, good untillwe get to the face. The adding of layers and such is good but the painting works from being flat at the face now that youve made it layered and such the eye brows dont work in some angles asian looking because of the shadow it casts being raised. Ive seen modern art takes on this painting done embossed or relief in a way if you look at it from difrent angles its reads still even when not straight at it. But i think here while a good try at it , it will never work as it was never ment to be in this form. At least the other modern takes mentioned above have made changes to adjust (rather then to capture what is seen straight on ) and full the eye. All this said and the Louve did recreate Mona Lisa in 3D using xrays and scans etc..and it looks good but the face never changes angle. You always see the same side of the face and its smouth rendered so even from the other side it works better then seeing lego bricks on its side profile if that makes sense to anyone

A bigger crane cool, the last one from city thats smaller was one of my favorites from any lego line at that time it was released the crane looked better in person compared to the photos and videos

It does look like the head of the Stegosaurus does move. If you look closely, you can kinda see a notch near the back of the top of the head

Crane looks sick

I think it's cool and I want it one day but honestly I think I'll go for dungeons and dragons first. This just gets the Tom Hank's "I don't get it." "Who wants to play with a building" thoughts from me. Only mildly. Maybe I just want a dragon.

I presume the text to be: "One ring to rule them all..." and LEGO marketeers correctly assume that I will make the tower look taller by the magic of buying two of them.

Just a minor note. Jang I've always really appreciated the technical talk about colors correction and discussion of focal lengths. I very rarely see people bring those subjects up when it comes to advertising and product showcases

The store could be the tuck shop. Every summer camp that I went to had one. Nice way to get a "treat" and a break from camp food. Every camper always looked forward to tuck time!

The eating area seems to be a reference to the tower of Cirith Ungol in Return of the King, the only building we see the interior of in Mordor. It’s the one Frodo is taken to when he’s all webbed up by Shelob and the orcs fight over his mithril shirt in the room at the top of a ladder (which also seems to be referenced in those top two rooms of the build). There was an eating space with a big table like that where other orcs were fighting each other at the bottom floor of Cirith Ungol like that, as I recall.

I don’t know why but the bridge area looks shorter than the 2014 one. It looks like this star destroyer lost some height and therefore looks a bit less accurate to the actual design of the isd in the movies n such
